Bereavement

- In addition
to sick leave, a Teacher shall be allowed, at his/her option,
up to four (4) days per occurrence without loss of pay for an
absence due to a death in the immediate family or of any designated
person sharing the Teacher's residence on a permanent basis.
If the first day is on a Monday, one additional bereavement day
will be allowed. Immediate family is defined as parents, spouse,
brothers, sisters, children, grandparents, grandparents-in-law,
grandchildren, parents-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law,
daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, and legal guardians.
